Request for Free Trial BabyROO is a program designed to give you the opportunity to learn how to provide activities at home to help your child learn about their world and get a jump start on their education. The program specifically targets the stimulatory needs of babies to help lay a solid foundation for ongoing development of the brain.
One of the best gifts you will ever give your baby. Research confirms that there is a direct relationship between the stimulation babies receive and how well they later behave, read and learn. Our video series is the essential guide for all parents. Join in the fun activities, dance and sing with your baby as you learn the how and why of tummy time, baby exercises, baby massage, speech development, baby balance and more.
Help build key brain pathways for later learning. Babies who have had these types of early movement opportunities have shown statistically significant results in future concentration, behaviour, coordination, reading comprehension and maths skills.
It is highly recommended by paediatricians, Maternal Child Health Nurses, early childhood specialists, mums and dads. Each class begins in our mat room, with everyone on the floor together. A series of gentle exercises are then completed. There is visual stimulation with large black and white pictures which are specifically designed for babies. Massage is an important part of this class, where you will be taught relaxation massage, stimulating massage, and massage games.
We have fun ideas for encouraging tummy time, and an opportunity to discuss together the neurological theme for that week. This is accompanied by a handout to take home and read. Each week there is time on our specially designed equipment for our babies. This gives you the opportunity to rock, roll, and swing your baby to stimulate their balance, muscle tone, vision, and sensory integration.
Each class concludes with parachute time. These are babies from 6 weeks to 4 months of age. Our Tadpoles join our Platypus classes, but they are instructed in special ways to hold and support baby at this young age. As they tire quickly, they do not always manage the full 45 minutes at the beginning of term, often needing a rest or cuddle at big equipment time, and so their fees are reduced.
Slowly as the term progresses, and their bodies become stronger through the gentle exercises and massage, they will complete a full session. You will learn how to give your little one the very best start in life. Neuro Developmental Milestones Platypus: Balance and strength exercises continue, but at a faster and more challenging pace.
Games with small equipment are introduced, and massage includes lots of body awareness games. Treasure bag is introduced where babies are exposed to a picture, a word in print, and an object that all represent the same thing.
This helps build neural pathways and is the beginning of word exposure. Music and rhythm time is introduced for crawlers and parachute games conclude the class. Neuro Developmental Milestones Wombats: Increasingly joins in singing.
