Hmnn ……Obasanjo has spoken with uni dimensional vision! What of his own record? OBJ Are you now sorry that you fought so hard to keep Nigeria as one. Ojukwu saw what you are seeing now nearly 50 years ago. You and your cohorts then thwarted it. The sad truth is that you contributed to the mess to a very large extent. Whoever told you that you are good leader. You instituted godfatherism and are now crying wolf. Isaac Ok, you are worried about the Bola Tinubus generations?
Think where your Nigeria is headed with the likes of Fani Kayode. Nigeria was not set up to work except for the governance intentions of the colonial masters. Its not late to dissolve the false union. The intention was to create political divisions of the continent, by spheres of interest. Sadly what they created still exist in Africa today. We have an opportunity to end the marriage after one century in LopezoAbroad I totally disagree with you. Give me a good leader and you will see an aligned nation and good followers.
Despite the level of rottenness in Nigeria, let a good guy come into power and you would see that all the corrupt senators, MDA officials and even university teachers will all fall in place. Most humans will steal or break the law because the see others do it or they have no confidence that if they do not take, others will not take too.
So we need a smart, fearless, disciplined and hardworking leader who has only the fear of God and the common good at heart. If all the followers are bad, then most comments that I read in the various newspapers are not sincere. Democracy is a very slow process in ethnically homogeneous states and it is expected to be even slower in a country with as many cultures and sects as Nigeria. We need leaders like GEJ, people that will get us there slowly but surely!
I hate these revisions of history designed to suit! It was Ken Nnamani the third or fourth senate president whilst Obasanjo was there, who led the charge against his third term ambition!
Isa Gwaram The senate president was merely a face of the revolt. Of course it was not just the Northerns who attempted to stop him. However, if not for some Northerns in PDP who checked him, he would have overcome the south-southern and south-eastern resistance.
Tell me an affair he ever manage well??? I openly campaigned for him and wish he get there. The same goes with Jonathan, you hate him, so anything he does is bad. Nigeria is not ready for Jonathan style and there is a reason for his style. It is to give governance and people new direction of openness and accountability. Unfortunately, morons like you took it as weakness or sometimes took it to the point of ridicule like calling him drunkard etc.
Can u point to an achievement under your GEJ? What did OBJ achieve?? If anyone uses this common statement, I always think they cannot be objective. I believe as Mike sees it that OBJ was corrupt, but he was in a position a rare position now gone to steady this country forever. But he achieved so many things. Banks reform, privatisations of many sectors like communication gsm , Nafdac, and so on. Even the debts that he and others had previously accumulated was cleared by the reprieve sourced by Okonjo iweala at the time.
Not that I like him though, because he allowed mundane things to overcome him. What did their states governors achieved? Do they even know their local goverment chairperson? Otitokoro-ButSayIt Good u were able to mention a few thing.
Do us a favour and mention what GEJ achieved!!! I can continue on and on. No wonder they are using you to eat bread and agidi. They might as well use your tie tight you to a pole like a goat. If you follow the news, mumu, most of the Abacha loots was not paid back during OBJ term. They got court orders then but former transfer took place during Yaradua term and some recently. O please spare us. This shameless man is a big thief, who stole even more than the people he mentioned.
GSM would have come anyway. Sleeping with female members of his cabinet amongst all other disgusting stuff, an achievement? Eniola E ka bo, owon omo baba. Tell me, which part of this is a lie. I am not a fan of OBJ but compare with current and past Nigeria leaders, he is far better. Now, tell what GEJ has accomplish to date other talking about transformation. It is what it is and you either can point to or talk about your own accomplishments or not.
GEJ has never told the nation what he intend to accomplished during his tenure other than his power roadmap. Who came up with Power Act? Who can up with the idea NIPP? We can go on and on and the difference is very clear. OBJ may not be politically like by many but leadership is not beauty contest especially in tribal society like Nigeria.
Two phase that is very important in Management and Engineering is Planning and development. This is just because the big silence rog, Abdusalam refused to the give the 11 operators Abacha granted license to start operation. Jam Because he has interests there babs what do u mean by he could not account, have u taken pain pain to know how govt account is been run, u are merely insinuating. People just sit and criticize blindly.
It takes a man like OBJ to bring Nigeria to where we are today. Everyday I bless God for people like him. He may have his weaknesses as a man, but in all, OBJ is a great man and deserves respect.
He should have done Abacha on these Oloshi. Obj that cannot give us electricity? Any one, alive or dead? How many people your fraudster leader, Tinubu employed? Obj farm employed abut 20, Saved Jimoh, If you have the opportunity , you will want to have the entire nigeria for your family. Look at TINUBU, the wife is senate, the daughter is heading the market women, maybe very soon, he will make the wife the governor and his son in law the vice president. Only God knows other members of his family he has fixed in strategic positions denying those that truly qualify their rights.
You should read the message not the man. What Obj said should be for us to make reflection. Look at people we are parading as good leaders, Tinubu…uhu, thug — Okorocha, Ngige, he rigged election on a whole state!!!
Ribadu is the only one you can single out but who is he grouping with? Concerned Citizen Reflect on what? I doubt if understands the definition of leadership. One of the functions of a good leader is to control and direct the followers. Part of the consequence of the failures of leaders in his generation over time, is the loss of hope by the younger generation who eventually resorted to doing thing their own ways.
What about unresolved high profile political killings to mention a few of the failures of his govt? The bulk of the accusations he made against the younger generation was adopted from his own generation. Though he might have made mistakes in d past, but no one is perfect in life except God. It is easy to sit out there and condemn the leaders. If a search light is beamed at your tiny corner , would you come out clean? Please go and repair your own house life. Zakari I am highly disappointed in some of the commentators on the above issues raised by our former president.
I think some persons brains are deadly dead. The point the old man raised seems to bounce back from these rocky brains. The old man said that this great nation, Nigeria had 20 new ships specially built for Nigeria and today we had none. What of Nigeria Airways? Where is our National Values?
