But some TV shows are special. They start solid and never lose you. Friends No argument here. The Big Bang Theory A bunch of nerds and a ton of stereotypes. A fine show during its inital seasons, TBBT validated introverted genuises and dimwits too worldwide. But we have just had enough of every other B. Because the story and plot of the show died long back.
Game of Thrones Great show, great sets, cast, yada yada yada. Time to explore ahead!! Prison Break Iconic prison drama that lost its glory by the end. Though not many brilliant mainstream dramas are made, so we had to pick out a completely different sort of vibe for you. Suits This show about lawyers could have easily been a period drama.
With the style and suave, it belongs right in the 60s. So its time to make room for someone else. Narratives and characters stories were not being concluded for really random reasons, and detective thriller angle got lost completely.
True Detective Season 1 This is one of the greatest series' I have seen in a long a time. This season is made completely with love and have some brilliant writing by Nic Pizzolatto and brilliant directing by Cary Fukunaga.
This is such a dark show, but it really helps when it comes to pulling in the viewer, because in many of the scenes, you really can't look away from the screen. They play so well off each other and off the other characters in the show, which consists mostly of Michelle Monaghan, Michael Potts and Tory Kittles. If anyone doesn't like this season, you have either not seen it or just don't like McConaughey or Harrelson and if that's the case; what's wrong with you?
Sherlock In this modernized version of the Conan Doyle characters, using his detective plots, Sherlock Holmes lives in early 21st century London and acts more cocky towards Scotland Yard's detective inspector Lestrade because he's actually less confident. Doctor Watson is now a fairly young veteran of the Afghan war, less adoring and more active I have been an avid fan of Sherlock Holmes from a very young age, and my first reaction upon hearing of a modern TV remake was "oh bugger, they are so going to screw this up".
However, i am glad to report that, unlike so many other TV adaptations and especially ones that modernise, i found it witty, clever and above all, entertaining. It was extremely reverential of its considerable pedigree and included a large number of coded references and callbacks for the more avid fan, e. I imagine many were irked by this and as i can see from the ratings many did not care for it at all, but for me it was simply sublime, and well deserving of a 10 out of 10 Flash The Flash is a series about Barry Allen as a so called meta-human whose powers is extreme speed.
Barry Allen is a very interesting and complex person, not to mention that he's a very likable and sincere guy. He's day job as a police scientist makes for a very interesting character and displays his intelligence in a genuinely spectacular manner.
Meta-humans, case-solving, interesting use and abuse of the powers given to Barry Allen and much more makes for a truly great and spectacular superhero series that will only continue to grow in seasons to come. The series is filled with excitement and does not only make comic book fans jump off of their chairs in joy, but also introduces non-comic book fans into the DC-universe.
Abrams at the helm, I had great expectations from this show and it delivered in the best possible way. After '24', this is probably the only show that stands out in this genre.
Jim Caviezel Reese plays an ex-CIA hit-man which itself sounds cool who is a tough guy but at the same time has strong feelings for his dead girlfriend which he tries to suppress. Michael Emerson, who we know as 'Benjamin Linus' from 'Lost', plays a scientist who hires Reese to do his dirty work.
Emerson, who is known to play complex characters, keeps up his end of the bargain by giving a flawless performance. Even though the show has just began, I can see Jim and Emerson sharing great on-screen chemistry in the future hopefully there is one. There is a vast difference between writing a screenplay for a movie and a TV episode. But, that did not matter since, Johnathan Nolan, making his debut in the TV industry, had great help in the form of Abrams, who has been doing this day in, day out for so many years.
Apart from the talented writing, the show also showcased some riveting action sequences, good editing and awesome visuals. The surveillance cam shots added another dimension to this show. Shark Tank If you really want to plug into the entrepreneurship some day you should definitely check this show out.
You will develop the insight of a venture capitalist mind and yes they are going to be rude in the real life too. It's a "reality TV show" and the reality is that budding entrepreneurs come before a collection of 5 experienced entrepreneurs and make a pitch, hoping to attract dollars and guidance from one or more of the so-called sharks.
Barbara Corcoran alternates with Lori Greiner as the token woman. Kevin Harrington was an early contributor but lately Mark Cuban has been the 5th member. The show is mainly about Anthony "Tony" Soprano and his life as a father, husband and leader of a mob in the 21st century.
The show is as far as I know realistic, compared to many other mafia shows and movies I have seen. The actors fit like a glove to their parts. This show made me realize how good many of these actors are in other shows and movies. This show has it all; humor, action, drama, good music, good actors, good "behind the camera" people and a good plot. It's a testament to the writers', directors' and actors' talents that a show which mostly consists of people talking is as much a prime candidate for binge- watching as the shows I've mentioned before, so for those of you who haven't started watching it yet, be warned: House of Cards is highly addictive.
Seinfeld The television show that brought to us modern relationships for the first time. New Girl A light hearted take on a similar bunch of friends from different sex, caste and race. Tudors If it is any consolation, your favorite Margarey Tyrell was a finding from here.
Community A lot more diverse and way more intelligent even without the science.
