Thakkar of The Deccan Chronicle wrote that she was successful in "deliver[ing] a strong and hard hitting performance. Vetticad praised the film for portraying women with "agency, flaws, humanity and, above all, a sense of humour", and took note of Kapoor's "neatly restrained performance".
